As a women owned business, we know how important women empowerment and local support is. We make it an effort to shop with women owned businesses, both near and far.
You may be thinking its easier said than done, and you’re right, it can be difficult to find businesses owned by women. Thankfully there are many online resources to help customers find women owned businesses, both big and small.
One of our favorite resources is Buy Women Owned, an initiative started by
the The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. They share stories to inspire and make reaching women run businesses accessible and easy. Their directory of certified women owned businesses is a great way to find new products and recipes, all while supporting women. Within the list you’ll find national and international businesses, including some of our favorite eco-friendly brands like Lunchskins and Stasher.
You can also find women owned businesses on social media with #buywomenowned. Using Facebook and Instagram to follow, like and share brands with friends is a simple way to show support, one that can have a big impact and help women owned brands reach even more customers.
